Multi-Day Packages
Multi-Day Packages Tours in Peru
A multi-day package is the smartest way to visit Peru. The country’s top destinations are separated by significant distances — Cusco to Machu Picchu involves a train journey, and adding Rainbow Mountain requires an early morning drive in the opposite direction. Getting the sequence wrong can mean unnecessary altitude jumps, missed sunrises, and a genuinely exhausting trip. Our packages are designed with acclimatization physiology as a backbone: we place Machu Picchu (2,430 m) before Rainbow Mountain (5,200 m), use Cusco city days at 3,400 m as altitude staging, and include the Sacred Valley circuit (which happens at lower elevation) as an active rest day. The result is a trip where you feel progressively stronger, not increasingly depleted.Packages range from focused 4-day Cusco escapes to comprehensive 15-day Peru-wide circuits covering Lima, Cusco, Machu Picchu, Puno, and the Amazon.

Contact us if you're unsure — we'll recommend the right package based on your fitness level and the time you have available.

FAQ about Multi-Day Packages
5What is included in a standard package price?
Our packages typically include: airport transfer, hotel accommodation (as specified — hostal, 3-star, or 4-star), all guided excursions listed in the itinerary, entrance fees, train tickets where applicable, bus tickets (including the Machu Picchu bus), and all breakfasts. Lunches and dinners are usually not included unless specified, giving you flexibility to choose restaurants. International flights are never included.
Why is the order of activities in a package important?
Altitude acclimatization is the main reason. Machu Picchu at 2,430 m is lower than Cusco (3,400 m) — it actually feels easier and serves as a physiological rest day before high-altitude activities. Our packages always place Machu Picchu in the middle of the itinerary, after 2–3 days in Cusco but before Rainbow Mountain or Humantay Lake. This sequence maximizes your body's ability to enjoy the high-altitude experiences without exhaustion.
Can I customize a package to add or remove activities?
Yes. Our published packages are starting points. We can add extra excursions, upgrade accommodation, include a cooking class, extend the trip, or swap one activity for another. Contact us with your group size, dates, and interests and we'll build a custom proposal within 24 hours.
How much spending money should I budget beyond the package price?
A reasonable budget for personal expenses is $30–50 USD per day. This covers lunches and dinners ($8–20 per meal at mid-range Cusco restaurants), tipping (guides $10–15/day, porters $5–8/day per person), drinks, souvenirs, and optional activities. Cusco has ATMs that accept international cards, but we recommend bringing some USD cash as a backup.
What is your cancellation policy for packages?
Free cancellation up to 72 hours before departure for most packages. Inca Trail packages are subject to permit non-refundability once permits are issued. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers trip cancellation and medical evacuation in case of altitude sickness or injury. Contact us for full terms and conditions.
